Holland and Barrett is the UK’s leading retailer of vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements. Established for more than 80 years, the company has more than 1,300 stores in 16 countries.
The requirement
Holland & Barrett wanted to further boost its online presence by improving the existing articles within its information-packed Health Hub.
At the same time, it wanted to make the Health Hub even more of a valuable resource by continuously updating it with new content based on trending topics, useful themes and its wealth of in-house expert knowledge.
The content team tasked us with two main objectives:
- Improve the existing articles in line with the company’s SEO strategy.
- Create new blogs from scratch, while incorporating specific SEO requirements.
The solution
Working with Holland & Barrett on an on-going basis, we improved and created dozens of articles, ranging from between 1,600 and 2,500 words long, a month. For some of the articles, we interviewed its team of nutritionists to obtain the details we needed to produce the content.
Being the content experts that we are, we regularly provided Holland & Barrett with ideas for future content, gleaned from the extensive desk research we conducted while working on its articles. We also flagged areas in which the initial SEO requirements could be improved.
The results
At the time of writing this case study, we had been working with Holland & Barrett for more than two years. The relationship is still on-going, and we receive new briefs for articles based on the widest range of topics, such as sleep, gut health, skincare, lifestyle, food and drink, pregnancy and babies and natural beauty, every month.
Over the last two years, we have produced 400 Health Hub articles for Holland & Barrett’s content team, who have really valued our dedicated support.
