The Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (WLEP) is one of 38 UK-wide LEPs. It’s responsible for working with partners, including local businesses and third sector organisations, to help generate economic growth and jobs across Worcestershire.

The requirement

The WLEP’s PR, marketing and communications manager needed some temporary additional communications support. They were looking for somebody with the skills and experience to help deliver their ongoing marketing and communications campaigns.

Given the short-term nature of the support, it was essential the person they worked with could hit the ground running.

The solution

Thanks to our Director, Sanina’s, council corporate communications background, it was clear we had the expertise to deliver the work with minimal guidance.

In line with the brief, we provided ten hours’ weekly support on a flexible basis. This meant we were available to complete tasks as soon as they were shared with us.

The results

Over the space of four weeks, we provided the WLEP’s PR, marketing and communications manager with dedicated marketing and communications support, which included:

• Writing press releases, blogs and news columns
• Uploading content to the WLEP’s website and partner sites
• Managing & delivering social media campaigns

We were available for the WLEP to contact and have meetings with at all times. We also completed our work ahead of schedule and provided recommendations for how content could be repurposed or improved to make sure it provided maximum value.

While the month’s work has been completed, we have established an excellent relationship with the WLEP and are working with them on an ad hoc basis.
